Broken promises and excuses....

Well, I need to start by saying a big sorry for not posting sooner and weekly, as promised, but I am going to plead forgiveness due to the fact that I have a six month old baby ( who is now fast asleep). So I thought for this post I would introduce you to the newest member of the Purlettes, Baby Joe.

Here he is newborn and all snuggled up in his very lovely nanna blanket.

He is now six months old, cheekier than ever and defintely keeping me on my toes. We are hoping to have a knitting club meeting this Friday, so if you are in Ikea cafe come and find us and say hello.

Will post with the latest news and projects next week. xxxxx

Everything changes....

Well it has been a very long time but we are back and with a promise to update our blog every week.

So I hear you ask, what have we been up to? Well a good heading for our last year could be..Everything Changes!!! The majority of our members decided to take the opportunity of voluntary redundancy/early retirement and we spent a good few months having lunch in the lovely Topaz and enjoying the summer. We welcomed our newest member of the knitting club, baby Joseph, in October which meant lots of knitting/crocheting and new 'nanna blanket' (photos to follow). We did the Ordsall Hall Crafts' Fair in November, which was great fun and a chance to sell some of our wonderful creations. Then reality struck and some members of the club had to get real jobs (damn bills to pay!!!) but everyone is working stress free, which is now so important.

So 2012 has started with three members of the club planning to move to Linconshire and start a new chapter of their lives...with exciting prospects such as new jobs, children's books and lots of trips to the seaside. Knitting Club meetings have been harder to organise because of babies and jobs but we are still going strong.

So that's where we are up to....speak soon xxxxxxxxxxxx
